ChessPDF collects minimal data necessary to provide the Service:

• License key: Stored locally in your browser via Chrome's storage API to maintain your Pro status.
• PDF export count: Stored locally in your browser to enforce the free tier daily limit.
• Theme and board preferences: Stored locally in your browser for a consistent experience.
• Email address: Collected by our payment processor (Paddle) when you purchase a Pro plan. Used to deliver your license key.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

ChessPDF does not collect, transmit, or store your chess game data. All PDF generation happens locally in your browser. We do not collect analytics, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is required for license validation.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Paddle.com: Payment processing. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and handles all payment data. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Chess.com API: Used to fetch player avatars and country flags. No personal data is sent to Chess.com by our extension beyond what is publicly available.
• Cloudflare: License key validation. Only your license key is transmitted for validation — no other personal data.

5. Data Retention

Local data (preferences, license status, export count) is retained in your browser until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data. License keys are retained in our validation system for the duration of your subscription or lifetime access.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at support@chesstopdf.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the extension or our website.
